Benefit of Heat shield mod

I have to say, last weekend was the first time I tried the heat shield mod and I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency.

It seems when I hit the Bandera I end up making so many trips to the store that there is rarely room left. However, just did a few racks of bby's and some sausage over the weekend and I had to keep opening the firebox because of the heat, which was a nice change.

Once again, a simple mod, but great results. Our guests said best ribs ever :P
