Anyone using one of these? Any tips on using it?

I just bought one on eBay. $32.50. I hope it works ok?

I have one, works pretty good. I had a problem and the remote part stopped working in the 1st week. They are sending me a new one no questions asked.

I am using my Maverick Remote Smoker thermometer for the first time today. Trouble is the receiver won't update unless it is within 3 inches of the transmitter. This can't be normal. Has anyone had experience with this model? Can you offer any advice?

Thats the same problem I had. Call them up, they will send you a new one.

mine has worked fine for months. You do have to do the start up drill exactly like the manual. In fact it is oops 256 in Bandera right now.

Did you know that somewhere above 450 (in this case, caused by a "minor" grease fire in the smoke chamber) the temp transmitter will read "hhh" ?

Take my word for it.....

Does it start playing buster poindexter singing Hot, Hot, Hot?

Anybody use the Weber remote probe? Local Home Depot had them on sale for $29.95.

What do ya think?
