Is this going to be a recurring thing, Todd? We're committed to a local competition on the weekend that David announced earlier, but I'd love to learn from you guys at some point.

This course will feature Butcher BBQ and Plowboys BBQ for the first time. We're approaching the height of our competition season here in the Midwest along with graduations, family vacations, and other summer commitments. We wanted to get something on the schedule sooner than later.

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn that, yes, there will be at least one more course in late October in Michigan. Not 100% final, but we are working hard and fast with the organization there to make it happen.

There are a couple of other options, but weekends are already sparse for this year. We'll be lucky if we can get 3-4 classes in this year.

Anyway, I have a TON of respect for David as a meat expert, cook, and friend. This is going to be awesome! Registration link will be ready to post today.

I have the very same respect for this man, and everyone that has ever had a chance to sit and visit with him knows his cooking skills are not limited to the comp world. The man can cook!

It's killing me that I won't be able to get up there. I've cooked with Todd, and learned a lot. I cooked with Todd while were next to David and learned a lot just from normal conversation over the course of a contest! If you have the opportunity to take this class, I'd go and turn into a sponge and soak up as much as you can!

Rich and I can vouch for a class well run and learned a lot! Cooking against some of the top teams in the Midwest, Pellet Envy, Quau, Plowboys, KC Can Crew, Smoke On Wheels, The Slabs.com, Wild Blue, Brethern BBQ Team, and moola more and we took 7th overall out of 65 teams. Then we beat everyone in Brisket with a 172.

Once again, we thank Todd and Andy and Randy and a thanks to Jeff, too. GREATGREAT Class an well worth the money! We got it back this past weekend!

We are less than a month away from the first ever Butcher BBQ & Plowboys BBQ class presented by Fairway BBQ in Tulsa, OK. Because this class was announced with such a short lead time and on a holiday weekend, it is going to be a SMALL class. Which is going to benefit you a great deal. We will walk you through what we do and what we know about meat, seasonings, pellet cookers, and competition BBQ. This will be a great opportunity for such a small group.

We'll get started at 2pm as mentioned on the class enrollment site. All prep, cooking, and presentation will be done in front of you.

We'll send more information as we get closer. Until then, if you have any questions, send an email to myself and ButcherBBQ@aol.com.

See you in a few short weeks...

Todd & David

Folks, the Tulsa class in a few weeks is likely the ONLY class by David and I until the unofficial end of the season for most of the country. We aren't planning any more classes until November.

If you want an edge for the 2010 season... get to Oklahoma Memorial Day weekend!!! We have a very small class this time which is the perfect time to get some personal attention.

Candy Weaver of BBQrs Delight just confirmed for our class. Candy will bring product samples and is going to talk about pellets and pellet manufacturing. This is a great opportunity for pellet cooks to learn more about the technology and tools at their fingertips.
