Alright lets get this over with. Let's see where we all stand on this subject. I'll probably regret it.

Good poll, Parrot. To be fair to all, I think you should add this option to the poll,

0 I have never tried it grilled, so my opprobrious opinion is worthless.

My feelings are that those that complain the most about SPAM have never tried it grilled. And are just voicing a belief or conclusion held with confidence, but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof , i.e. their opinion, (as defined by American Heritage Dictionary).

a belief or concludion held with confidence, but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof

Don't know what the word concludion means, but my distaste for spam comes from eating craploads of it when I was a poor college student, and that was all the meat I could afford to eat. I've had it more ways than Forrest gump knows how to have shrimp. The stuff is still second rate meat.

Now, talk all the farking spam ya want, but leave it right here.

Welcome Sarge.

How's that Hulka-Burger franchise coming?

Go post an intro in Cattle Call.

We got a guy here named Chad that's gonna love swapping spit, I mean stories, with you.

Ever notice the moving bag in the scene where Harold Ramis chases down Bill Murray trying to go AWOL.

Chick MP's pull up.

When he is on top of him blaming Bill for getting enlisted, BM is laying on the ground, bag 5 feet away. When they show the shots from the view of the jeeps pulling up, bag is under Bills head like a pillow.

They cut back and 4th 3 times and the bag keeps moving around.

Yes, I have watched that movie entirely too many times.

Tito Puente anyone?

parrothead
04-29-2004, 09:41 AM
Also, the scene right at the beginning. When they bet on the number of push ups that Bill can do. Harold throws the money at him and it lands on his chest. Then it is laying down further then back up on his chest.

Anyone seen the new Hickory smoked Spam? You won't even have to throw it on the cooker, just open the can tip it over and let the meat "slurp" on out!

Jesus!

I'm an idiot. My brain tricks me into buying SPAM every 8 months or so. Then I "try" it again for the 400th time, thinking that it'll taste better this time. Hasn't yet, but I'm on my 401st can. Actually since getting into my diet, I find that if I slice it very, very thin, fry it and top my salad with it, it ain't too bad.

I hear its pretty good with pineapple.

Have never eaten a Big Mac in my life.

Everything on the menu sucks, cept the Shamrock shakes which makes your **** turn green.

A 20pack of nuggets every few years use to be good, but then they went all white meat and lost their simulated flavor.

Prefer Hardee's or BK.

Greg, you ever try a Culver's Butter Burger?

Hmmm... added fat mod

A real comedian. You wouldn't last long in this man's Army.

Listen up. Spam was the first meat product that did not require
refrigeration. All America ate Spam during WWII in support of the
war effort. The Russkies admit that if it weren't for American Spam
they would have lost to the Nazi's. Same for the Brits. And the
same for your American soldiers.

Hawaiians love Spam to this day. It's the number one meat there.
Same for the Philippines - although I hear they may like dog better.

But I digress.

All you panty-wastes that voted against Spam - we're going on
a 5 mile run - RIGHT NOW!

Fall in!

chad
04-29-2004, 03:11 PM
Actually salted beef, pork, and fish were available a LONG time before SPAM.

Gotta be a friggin' grunt or jarhead to run after eating SPAM -- maybe getting the runs would help clear your head

Don't think Sgt. has been watching his History Channel! Maybe he needs to send Gunny a question.

I'm sure it's an OD Green or Woodland Camo Speedo.

Depending on how long the Sarge has been retired and what he's been doin' since, you might not even be able to see the cloth anyway.
