We are in Amarillo for a few days and wondering where we could go.

Any good suggestions?

Dyer's BBQ was very good for many years. Their ribs and sides were great. I haven't eaten there for a few years so I can't promise that they are still that good. Would be worth taking a chance though.

While it's not great Q, go to the Big Texan and try to eat the huge steak and get it for free! If I recall correctly, 72 ounces of Porterhouse.

I was there about 15 years ago. Unfortunately, at that time it was a butterflied sirloin. If it was a porterhouse, I would've gone for it even though it was 11:00am. 72 ounces of porterhouse is no problem, but sirloin is a lot harder. I think it is worth going to just for the experience. They did at that time have some other things you don't often see on menus, like rattlesnake.

It's sirloin. Man vs Food showed it the other day.
