I am cooking gumbo in a sort of competive cook- this is the 20th annual contest - we have several teams that do this a bunch but most of us just do this one for fun - one serious lady is sponspored by Gerbers baby food. It is on the 25th of April at the GIN MILL CLUB 10744 W. Belfort Houston, TX
I am putting some Q in this by giving a duck a little smoke and throwing it in the pot. The club does an unblievable crawfish boil and you get all of competitors gumbo. Entertainment is the Zdeco Dots and we congregate on the patio next to the "scenic" Sims Bayou (it now looks there real water going by). AND there is usually at least one major wardrobe malfunction.
Would love to see any of you that could make it - I'll be the guy with the straw hat- beard- and the duck pond(trying to sway the judges)
