I chopped up some smoked tri tip beef roast real good and added it to a bean dip for nachos.

Heated it up, added cheddar, then onto the chips.

Damn that stuff was good.

Anyone else put the leftovers into something odd (don't farking say Spam!)

Always!. I've made omelettes in the morning using just about any left over I have. Monday morning omelettes were made with smoked sausage log leftovers.

I gotta agree with Brian. Grits and hominy are only fit for feeding to livestock.

I'm with you Bill, my great aunt used to make it in the winter from dried (field) corn. Awesome, the stuff in a can is ok and serves well enough for comfort food.

Unlike some of you Atkins guys, I use meat mainly as an ingredient. So like david said, What's a leftover???

Pulled pork for chili or enchiladas or with refried beans for nachos, absolutely. Better yet; save the smoked fat and bones to make the beans.

And ya probably don't want to hear about my tortilla soup no more. :wink:

I threw up a link for Ringo who was doing his first fried turkey.

Me bad.

No sweat. Leftover fried turkey will work but what about smoke flavor?

Go smoke-dry some peppers; preferably poblanos.;

Hmmm.

I was grilling some poblanos yesterday (halves) and some halved green peppers.

farking things have a pretty thin wall, got soft and slipped threw the grate. Opened up the grill top to see the flaming pepper mod.

Smoked Corned Beef Hash

Getting ready for today’s smoke, 3 turkey breasts and a sausage log. For breakfast I made corned beef hash from last week’s smoke. Had it with a couple fried eggs with Sflav on top. Oughta keep me fueled.

Thanks for the Sflav Bill. Good stuff.
