View Full Version : Throwdown chops and a roast

OK. So I have this 10 lb. pork loin roast. What to do? AH! The chop throwdown is this week. I've got some Big Brother Smokes Simply Marvelous for the chops and Simply Marvelous Sweet and Spicy for the roast. Rubbed and fridged overnight. I took four chops to 130 internal to fry for the last step, then let the others to 160 and the roast to 155. The roast was mopped twice with a smoked raspberry chipotly pepper sauce prior to foiling and refridgerating for another night's dinner. Results so far:

Thanks everyone! The tater had butter and garam masala on it, forgot to mention. The asparagus got a little too charred in places but still tasted pretty good, not burnt as I expected it would. Still looked pretty funky though! I blame the Wellers. :biggrin:
OH, also, I used Zatarain's "fish fry" as the breadding for the smoked and fried chops.
