Hello all

My name is Fred and I just found this group. I hail from up here in Cereal City.

I'm the pastor of our church (Latter Day Saints) and was looking for info for our annual picnic this Spring.

One of my flock gave me a smoker/grill when he gave up all his worldly possessions to the church, so I figure we should learn how to use it.

Now don't worry about me getting "preachy" or anything, you won't get that from me. Besides, looks like that fella from Florida has cornered the market on that.

Thanks for all the private messages welcoming me.

In God We Trust

Nice to have you aboard, rev. Sorry about the offhanded remarks I made, sometimes we just have to much fun here.

Hope you learn how to use that cooker of yours.

With the great info here, I'm sure I will.

And everyone has their opinions, I never get offended.

Thanks for the warm welcome, my son.

The name plate is missing.

From the descriptions of others I red here, I either have a bringman water smoker/grill, or a garbage can converted into a smoker grill

Welcome DingleBerry!!!
Thats a very interesting name for a man of the cloth.
Last dingleberry i saw was hanging from the back of my dog.

See if there is anything resembling the initials R2D2 on your smoker. Then its a Brinkman. If it has a Blue Top, its a Universal Smoker. :)

welcome to the group... peruse the board..enjoy.. and once in a while squeak in a prayer for us.. we need it..

I got that name in college (divinity school)

I use to sing in a barbershop group there, and they all said I had such a big mouth when I sang that they can see the dingleberry in the back of my neck.

Name stuck

Forgive them,Rabbi. They're a buncha nastyass MoFos sometimes. Their spiritual side is usually expressed in the Joke section, especially under "not office friendly". That's the code name for spiritual stuff, cause a lot of godless heathen corporation bidnesses won't let ya worship at work. I think that Freedom Fighter and Who Moved the Dreamland post is about respecting church and state; you might wanna check it out.

Like I said above, I'm not preachy. So Brian can say whatever he wants (if thats who brdbbq is. I thought it meant BBQ Bird, like chicken or sqwab)

Sorry Rev. The person you should ask is a guy that calls him self wilkat98 or he goes by Peanut sometime. He has a way of explaining things very plainly. He has a bathroom problem lately though, maybe we could start a Prayer chain around the clock so the Good Lord would heal him of this.

Do you do laying on of hands? Maybe you could do a hand check on Brother Bill?

Well I am no longer a man of the cloth.

I've been defrocked.

I touched Peter when it should have been Paul.

Thanks for all the support guys.
