Can anyone recommend some good bbq in austin? I'm sure there are a ton. That's why I'm hoping to get some recommendations for places. Just to kinda help narrow down the search.
Thanks
Jason

Isn't Stubbs in Austin?

I think the Salt Lick is pretty close.

Here's a site with tons of info about Texas BBQ.

Have eaten lots of great BBQ in that area but the only BBQ place eaten at in Austin was Stubbs. Cool place but i liked the atmosphere & sides more than the meat. Kinda harsh but the bar is so high in that region.

I know you asked about Austin, but Lockhart is pretty dang close by. Just saying.

I''m not the "King of BBQ" like Myron, but I can turn out some pretty decent victuals. That's what sets the bar for us, and I haven't found anything that clears it in Austin. I'd try any of the big 4 in Lockhart, or maybe Coopers in New Braunfels (about 30 and 45 minutes from S. Austin, respectively).
