This week's Shop 'n Save ad has "Rib or Loin End Bone In Pork Roast" for $1 per pound. I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to make boneless pork loins out of them to smoke seperately and then smoke the bones like ribs.

Comments, suggestions?

PS: The same store has point cut corned beef for $0.87 per pound. I think I buy some of those too and soak out the salt as discussed the other day.

PSS: My 50-pound order of raw, blanched virginia peanuts from Texoma came in yesterday. Gonna smoke them too this weekend.

Mark, will try to get with you next week to pick up some peanuts. Unless I can squeeze in some time tomorrow. Did you say you work from home?

10 pounds sounds great. Now I just have to figure out when to get there.

Mark, I just cooked a loin end pork roast this past Sunday.

I don't know how big they are at ShopSave, but these were 3 pounders and would have been pretty difficult to make into a boneless, with ribs. The bone was quite large, and sliced down the middle.

Was a pain in the a$$ cutting that thing.

Probably didnt help much.
