My wife and I are heading down to Sevierville, Tenn. to the Blooming BBQ and Bluegrass contest and to visit family and were wondering where the best place to stay where we could just walk to the events. We don't want to have to drive. Hotels or condo would be great. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I like this map that lists the Sevierville main drag and links all the business websites together.
http://thegreatsmokeymountainsparkway.com/_map/sevierville/sevierville_parkway.htm

About halfway down the page, you'll see W.Bruce Street and Dolly Parton Parkway on the left (K-Mart shopping center on the right). In years past, they have held the event right in there on Joy, Court & Bruce. Lot of folks park in that K-Mart parking lot or Citizens Bank (I've never had issues with parking or traffic, so I wouldn't sweat it too much).

There are a lot of hotels within reasonable walking distance. Landmark, River View & Riviera are probably the closest (never stayed there, so I can't help you with that).

I'd also run a internet map to get a better idea of the area hotels and their proximity to the Courthouse.

There is also a $0.50 trolley that runs up and down the main drag, so you might find that you can get a hotel a couple miles away and take the trolley.
