 :D I have drawn up a design for a Hitch Mounted Transporter for the Bandera.

The unit would have a mount that goes into the trailor hitch on SUV, Trucks, etc.. It would have a fold up & down ramp that would allow loading the Bandera when the transporter is mounted to the vechicle and hold down chains.

Most likley, you would also need my user installable wheel kit, if you move it a lot.

This idea came from the posts from this and our old site from those wanting to use the Bandera in competive cooking or take to the inlaws, game tail gating  or whatever.

I don't move mine, so I dont have a need and I sure don't want to build something no one wants and would buy. So I need your feedback, let me know if you want one and what you would be willing to pay for it.

Won't buy that, but let me know when you build some ash pans

Hey Al,

What's this about a "user installable wheel kit?" After adding the charcoal basket and firebricks to the Bandera, I can't say that I trust these wheels to carry the weight anymore. In fact, I currently have the Bandera up on blocks.

Design is done just gotta round up the parts and assembly for a test run. My Bandera stock wheels are holding up with basket and fire bricks in both the fire box and smoke chamber, but then I don't move mine and it is on concret pad.

Big Al, How about an aftermarket undercarriage with 6 legs, 2 extra for the fire box to help support basket and bricks, receptacles at each corner that would accept scaffolding casters that have independent swivel lock and wheel brake. Maybe an acessory axle to go in same mounts at one end with pneumatic tires and a QD draw bar at the other end so you could use the lawn mower or 4 wheeler to get it from the driveway to the back yard. You could use a lift cart to jack it up off the casters and slide it onto a jet ski sized trailer a whole system.
