My list is on my blog.

Todd, Ottumwa is also the video game capital of the world. If you get a chance watch king of kong.

On another note, I heard they had a huge buffet spread including seafood and an open bar on Thursday night.

We are catering the World Pork Expo again this year. Planning to do Ottumwa. So sad that Qlossal isn't happening.

We haven't started planning yet. Things are changing at work due to a pending acquisition so I have no idea how many Fridays I'll be able to get off. Assuming things go well we'll see you at Shannon and Marshalltown for sure, and possibly Otumwa, Waterloo and Laporte City. Not sure about the others.

That makes sense to me, if by "sufferin hot" you mean really freaking cold; and by "mosquitos" you mean night-time beggars; and by "big winds" you mean sirens blasting all night long.

Maybe we should rethink W'loo...

No, try reading between the lines. Waterloo is the contest were going to cook this year and I don't need any of you "award winning, check stealing, expert BBQ cooks" raining on my parade.
Go Away!! A pox on you all.

On the other hand, our schedule may change completely based on the GAB Tour/Kingsford Competition...

Now that is funny, I don't care who you are:mrgreen:

Looked at my schedule again, and I think I'm gonna try to get Marshalltown and Waterloo/Laporte in as well. Just too many choices in June and July.

Ryan, do you have any more details on the Kingsford thing? Would be nice to see that list before nailing anything down for sure.

I know it will be the Great American BBQ Tour-sorta like a TOY just for those comps. I also know they are adding a bunch more comps to the tour schedule. The best team at the end of the year gets 25k--of course you have to use KComp Charcoal. They will also match winnings for top 3 in each category, like the Royal, from what I recall.

Monty...the only contest I'd tell you to think twice about is Council Bluffs.
That was by far the WORST contest I've attended to date.
Hell I'm still waiting on the "complimetary" T-shirt from them.
I was really dissapointed by that contest-too many things to mention!
Did I mention how I didn't particuliary care for that contest?

Feel for you Smitty. That is crazy. At the same time I am fortunate to live in an area with so many. But I would take your weather over ours.

Unfortunately, no, and I do not know when they will. I got the feeling though that many of the Great American BBQ Tour stops last year they will make again this year. Given that, I looked here (http://www.kingsford.com/competition/competitions.php) as a very rough guide.
