Will use MikeG's wing glaze.

Wanted to smoke them, but is forecasted to be like 5 here.

I'll have to pick up 3 slabs at "Thomas's Alabama BBQ" up the street. At least the town its located in is called Montgommery :)

I'm wimping out also. I'm cooking 40 + pounds of pulled pork for Sunday. 6 butts about 7 pounds each. I decided yesterday after looking at the forecast to cook two each day in the oven. Makes for less pulling all at once also. Oh well, It's the sauce that will make it great anyway.

High of 6 today, 3 tomorrow 12 on Saturday and a balmy 21 on Sunday.

I'm turning off the freezer in the garage and leaving the door open. Why waste juice? colder outside than in.

I got a friend fighting in UFC on pay per view on saturday night so a bunch of us are getting together here to watch the fight, then the game on Sunday. I may be on a plane to california, dont know yet. So tomorrow will be 2 butts and a brisket either in the BYC or the WSM. Its in the teens here, so the WSM would make more sense, but its been a while since I fired up any of the big boys with fireboxes. Either way, I WILL be Q'in tomorrow and maybe Saturday. Then sunday, the wings go in.

I'm gonna cook everything Saturday and reheat on Sunday (because that's the way I want to do it!....er...ok....the wifey is making me)

6 slabs of BB's and four Boston Butts. I've never used foil before, but I guess I'll try the two methods mentioned quite a bit here: the 3-2-1 for ribs and for the butts I'll bring to 160 degrees, then foil to 190.

After pulling the pork, I'll mix with sauce and refrigerate until Sunday. I'll glaze the ribs and do the same. Gonna reheat at 225 for about hour or so and eat at halftime. Got about 18 people coming, so the pressure is on :D

I was going to cook on Friday for Sunday, but the wind chill is supposed to be -10*. Guess we won't be having anything off the smoker. Too damn cold for even the electric smoker.

Anyone for Lasagna? LOL

LOL--don't think they will ever get "thrown" out. there still is an orange ecb rusting away next to the garage that I know hasn't been used in more than 4yrs--hard to get rid of the old toys I guess

The high in St. Louis yesterday was 10. When I got home from work I took every aerosol can I owned outside and sprayed them.

Screw the kids...I'm cold now.

Doing all those butts in the oven made a new method for finishing. Afte pst experience, I was trying for about 205 temp. I ran it til 200 and turned off the oven without even thinking about opening the door til morning. Now that is about as slow a cool down as you can get.

Served about 100 of those wings last night... pretty awesome - not one was left. Thanks for the recipie!!

IMHO, the hot sauce makes all the difference :)

Butt's were falling apart. Shredded em, mixed em with 11 pints of Greg's sweet and smokey, and filled to the the top an 18 quart roaster. Nothing but scrapings after the game. Went through 100 buns. Everybody kept saying how good it was, and I just kept mumbling how it would have been better if the weather hadn't been so cold leading up to the game. Oh well, next time.

It is pretty cool been the meat guy at any neighborhood function. People don't walk around saying who did this. They come right up to me and say good "whatever" and just assume it was me.
