BBQ Brethren- this has nothing to do with BBQ but my bass boat (which I use to make a living, as I am a licensed OUPV Captain and run a guide service) was stolen and I need your help to find it. Send me an email to dlwooley@suwanneeschools.org and I will forward you a flier I made up. BTW- it is a 2007 Ranger Z19 with a tandem axle trailer and a Yamaha 225 VMAX, loaded to the hilt!

I'm sure you can post the flyer here so all can see it.
Also...if you have some video of the boat...you should post it on Youtube
along with the story of it being stolen.
Then post the video link everywhere...including here.

The more hits the video gets...the more it will increase you chance of
getting the boat back.
It couldn't hurt anything to try.

Excellent advice...any place you can get the info to will help, the more the better. Sending prayers your way too cause I figure they can't hurt.

Damn, I doubt it would show up this far West.

From one bass fisherman to another, I sure hope it turns up.

What file format is the flier? You should be able to attach it to a post.

I'm sorry to hear about the boat. I hope you find it fast. Good luck!

Dang, thieves, I had a 5 cell Maglite, a radar detector, my wife's backpack with all her textbooks, and a pair of brand new -30* overalls, all were stolen from us.

I hope karma finds them, as well as you!! and your boat!

E-mail on the way. Someone stole the baby Jesus from the X-mas display from our front yard last night. Sad to say but some people will steal anything and everything. Hope you get it back.

Thanks for all the support everyone! I've been out beating the bushes today and trying to follow up on some iffy leads...this was the nail in the coffin for me because earlier this year my house got robbed and they cleaned me out of all my guns, FSU championship rings, cameras, cash, etc... I'm locked and loaded now though- I feel sorry for the poor sob that ever gets ballsy enough to try something when I'm home! :evil:Again, thank you so much to all of you that are helping me out! I really appreciate it!

I have several friends and Family in Dade and Broward, and another connection near Merrit Island, many of whom have their own boats. If you think it could end up down there, lemme know and I'll pass it along. Wishing you the best!

These posts are indexed through Google I believe. Post the HIN # so that if anybody researches it before buying it from the rat bastard who stole it, it will pop up as being stolen.

When its found, a mod can kill the post so you don't have to worry about selling it when you want to.

My wife's car was broken into outside our home a month ago. They didn't really get anything worth anything, but the violation is extremely frustrating. I can't imagine the frustration you must be dealing with.

Scum. I hope they wind up in as alligator poop. That goes for the lowlife s#!ts that cleaned out your home, too. Remove the "cruel and unusual" phrase from the Constitution, make it MANDATORY.

Sorry to hear about your boat. What kind of plick would steal a man's boat? Progressive is good insurance, so maybe things will turn out OK. I even have extra insurance on my tackle (through Progressive).

Not sure if you've looked around on CL for it yet... you could even post a wanted ad on there "Looking for Bass Boat" and see what turns up, just don't tip em' off that you've had one stolen!

Dude, keep an eye out on craigslist and ebay for the accessories you had on the boat. A lot of times thieves will part a boat out and sell it off and then sink the boat.

Just saw this, as we have been out of town.

ditto on Progressive being good insurance.

We are keeping our eyes peeled here in Ocoee, FL.
We live on a fishing lake. I will put my binoculars on any unknown boat I spot.
Best of luck.

Any updates? Hopefully the boat has been found and returned to its rightful owner. I just hate thiefs...

I'll keep an eye open here in NC.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all the brethren who expressed concern and did what they could to help me get the word out about my boat. Unfortunatley, there are no leads or suspects and as of yesterday - Progressive Insurance officially owns the boat. I have nothing but good things to say about Progressive! They will always have my business- for sure! If you do ever happen to see the boat, contact your local authorities immediately- I would love for the dirtbags to be caught!

sorry to hear about the loss of your boat warfrat... I too am a licensed captain (100gt master near coastal) and would be devastated if some moron decided to take off with my vessel, especially since I supplement my income with it.

I'm going to PM you about insurance stuff, dont want to post that here

Sorry about your boat, but happy the insurance was good to you.

I will print out a couple of those flyers anyway and post them at the lakes I use in South Carolina. You never know....
