Hello,
Please take a few minutes to check out Smoke Signals, the BBQ Brethren magazine.
The FaceBook page for the magazine is here:
http://www.facebook.com/business/dashboard/?ref=sb#/pages/Smoke-Signals-Magazine/209666458146
The direct link to the magazine is here:

A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes on this project. The writers, photographers and graphics people have done an excellent job.
Any errors or mistakes found in the magazine are mine.
I would like to personally thank N8Man and TimCardz for their help (both under short deadlines).
Feel free to send any comments or suggestions to:
smokesignals@bbq-brethren.net
The current plan is for a quarterly release, but that may be modified to a release every 8 weeks.

Eric,
Not bad! My only suggestion is to let me write an article and post pics about the Pacific Northwest BBQ Asociation. Keep up the great work! :-D

This is the first issue of a magazine that will be released quarterly, at the least.
The magazine is designed to focus on outdoor cooking and entertaining with a special emphasis on BBQ. Although the magazine will deal with 'Q, over the long haul we will be treading very lightly in the world of competition BBQ. That ground is covered very well by the Bullsheet and National BBQ News.
Feel free to ask any questions that you may have. There will be a few more announcements coming up soon.

I think it's free Tom...
Eric & Team - great job !!! I knew this was in the works but didn't know what it was gonna look like Very impressed & appreciative. A labor of love for writing and all things BBQ & Brethren. All the articles are great.. Always a fan of PigTrip, but now also very cool to see others by familiar names on BBQ subjects they are experts on and passionate about.
For a non-competitor this is probably the best compilation of BBQ related media yet...
Comparably, to get the competition-centric KCBS Bullsheet will cost $35/yr for membership and National BBQ News is $20.

Yeah that because it really doesn't fit the sentence. It refers more to payment. A version of requite might have been a better fit.
A fun read, especially Kevin Gillespie's rant against pellet poopers (sorry, couldn't resist, but an "oven that smokes" was funny. :-P )
I did note a couple editing errors. I can't imagine the work involved in putting this out.

I believe remunerate is correct. Eric is stating that instead of paying for the magazine with currency that he would appreciate his payment be in verbiage to fellow Q'ers.
:)
Great first magazine guys!!!

Not so. Remunerate refers to giving payment. To compensate monetarily for services and or loss suffered due to negligence. Its a reference to monetary outlay. It's similar to recompense. What he was offered was remuneration.

Awesome work Eric. I'm particularly impressed with the UDS Project. As a newbie and coming from a place that does not have anything like a UDS, it's a better way to learn that trawling through the mother UDS thread.
Cheers!

Yes remunerate and recompense are synonyms. That is true. They do share similar definitions but vary to some extent. In some aspects they can be used interchangeably but in others they can not. That is why I referenced requite as it actually refers to giving services for services. It too is a synonym because they share similar definitions but are not always interchageable.
Oh and OW! don't bite so hard!

At the top left of the page, there are three things that say "Share, Print, Embed"
Focus on the one that says "Print"
Now you'll notice a little do-hickey next to the word "Print". Its called a Printer Icon.
Printer Icons are used to symbolize the Print function, for those that are more or less graphically challenged than those that prefer reading the printed word.
Now comes the hard part.
Move your cursor (thats the little pointy arrow thingy) over the word "Print" or the Printer Icon.
Is everyone Ready???
Now,
Wait for it,
Here it comes,
Click!
Rinse and Repeat for the pages you want.

Thanks, Bill, but it didn't quite work.
It only printed 13 of the pages and then stopped.
Now there is a new box on my screen that says the printer is out of paper, but I don't see an icon on the page to add paper, or the word "paper" either.
I tried clciking everything, but it still says it is out of paper.
So what should I do now?
