I understand Mark has a recipe for smoked nuts. Some people were asking if I had a recipe.
Mark, throw one up here, or in the recipe section.
Thanks

Oops. Please. :)
In honor of Bill's new avatar; the amazing peanut man
I smoked 3 pounds of raw almonds ($7 @ Cosco) over the holidays. They came out great and it was real easy.
Ya just lightly oil some nuts in a mixing bowl and ad some salt & powdered peppers. Then smoke em till they darken just a little.
I smoked them in a "grill wok" ($10 @ Amazon). The pepper powder I used was my home grown and Bandara smoked habanero's.
Our not-to-distant cousins over at the virtual Weber Bullet site had a a page on smoked nuts. Some great sounding recipes.

Also a good recipe at pepperfool:

and another at bbq.about.com:

This reminds me its time to start preparing for growing peppers from seeds. I'll do a "how to" post on this subject if anyone is interested.
