There is a 1 in 8,000 chance you'll be involved in a car accident in Plano TX. There is a 1 in 30 million chance you'll win the lottery and there was a 1 in 45 million chance you would contract Mad Cow. Mad Cow effects cattle 3 years of age and older. Quality cattle are harvested between 18 and 24 months. Milking cows are low quality meat and never make it to the choice or prime grade. They usually are ground for low quality meat. When it comes to meat, there is no such thing as a good deal. You get exactly what you pay for. Buy quality and be sure.

It would just be my damn luck to catch Mad Cow and still not win a lottery! :?

Hell, I could fall into a pool of tities and come up sucking my thumb.

Brian, bro', thank you! That puts the situation in perspective.

I'm not stopping eating beef because of one sick dairy canner/cutter was found 3500 miles away and not in my food chain!! However, we (the univeral we) need to stop using these downer animals in any of our food -- canners/cutters are used in canned/prepared soups, stews, etc. Same with tired and blown out laying hens -- these tough burned out chickens are butchered and wind up in frozen pot pies, soups, etc.

Common sense should have stopped this crap years ago -- it was an issue back in 1966-1971 when I was active in FFA and apparently it's still an issue.

OK, I'm off my soap box.

Have a nice day! :D
