Sometime around Christmas/New Years, our rubs will be on the shelves of the Bass Pro Shops in the outdoor cooking section. I got an email from folks at Bass Pro Shops today and they are as excited about this as we are. It has been in the works since the week after the American Royal and it is exciting to finally have it come about.
Bass Pro Shops has 52 stores across the US and Canada, so that's a lot of opportunity for people to find and learn about our products.
Since Bass Pro Shops will be carrying an 8oz shaker, many of you more "hardcore" users will still want 16 oz and 5 lb packages and can find them where you do today.
More stores are coming on every week, so Plowboys Nation is growing and growing. Thank you so very much to all of you that continue to support Plowboys BBQ. My family is ever grateful.
Congrats!...Ill have to make a trip sometime to pick some up. Its dangerous going into that place...I went looking for some meat cure and left with a new pocket knife and a big ol bag of hickory logs......still didnt get the cure.

Thanks. We've got another meeting this week with a chain in the Midwest with 100 stores!!! Very good chance that we'll be announcing another major retailer next week.
There's even more in the works beyond that. It is crazy right now! It wouldn't be happening without the Brethren. You guys put us on the map.

I don't get to BPS often, but will pick up your stuff when I go so that they'll order more from you - BUT, I will keep ordering from the Brethren online stores mainly.
Todd has taken the little guy into the big time.
We should all support Plowboys at all BPS, even if you don't like fish.

Does the lack of an announcement mean good news, as in, "No news is good news"?

We are in a "good news" situation. The first order is for 200 cases to be shipped next week to BPS. It should take them another week or so to get it on the shelves. So by third week of Jan at the latest, there should be product on the shelves.
Thanks for asking.

Sorry, Todd - I wasn't clear. I meant the deal with the mid-west store that you were working on a couple of weeks ago.

After a visit to my local BPS today (Harrisburg, PA).... low and behold, just as promised plowboys was on the shelf.
I picked up some yardbird, unfortunately that was the only kind they had. Never tried it before....cant wait. Ohh yeah, with its title (yardbid) I assume it was intended for poultry?

Todd,
I picked up a couple of bottles of Bovine Bold and Yard Bird at the BSP in Vegas. Your stuff is fantastic. I did a couple of briskets and 3 racks of ribs the first time I used it. They were by far the best I've ever cooked.
Congrats on the growth!
