View Full Version : Southern Flavor
Bill I used the Southern Flavor you sent for Christmas on some ribs and it is great. Can't wait to try it on other things. Thanks once again for all the effort you put into this. What have others used it on? Is it better on any particular type of meat? I'd like to know what others have thought of the Southern Flavor that haven't used it before.

I use it on...everything.
Open a can of corn. DRain the water. throw in pan. Add So Flav. Cover and heat. its like blackened corn.
Cook aparagus. drain. Add Southern Flavor.
Tonight, I did a pork loin in Pa Kettle. Roll loin in So Flav. Heat to 165, then foil, put back to 190. put in cooler.
It hit 196. was 168 by the time we cut it.
Opened it up, and it was swimming in 1" juice. Sliced it, added juice, and it was awesome.
Had foild taters, then added So flav to them.
So I am really not kidding when I say "anything but cereal" with So Flav

I haven't used mine yet but it may be the best thing that I receive for Christmas this year. Especially if it leads to a long term relationship. Errrrr...Uhhhhhh....you can have a relationship with a rub can't you. So far my relationship with my Boars Breath Tub-O-Rub has be really great.

Bill,
Can you tell me what flavors you used on the corn and aspragrass?
Since you sent me the So Flav, I have used it everytime I have smoked! I am not very creative so I would not have thought about using it on corn and such, but when I think about it, it makes my mouth water!
Thanks

But, you said you haven't tried it on cereal yet, so, just maybe.

I've used both the Charbroil and the Cajun on corn and veggies. Cajun on mashed taters. Never tried the garlic, so I haven't had it on anything.

The garlic is good on just about everything also.

Garlic is good, although I use the others more frequently. I add the garlic to tater and mac salads. Need to experiment more with it.
