Good luck to all competing whole hog at this event this weekend. I hear the weather will be great. Huck's Hut BBQ team hopes to be there in 2010.

We got an old claw foot bath tub and lined the 3 WSMs up in it & hung the hog over them on a shower rod. The renderings went through the drain and were pumped through the shower head to continually baste the hog as it cooked.:-D

OR we rented a Meadow Creek PR60:roll:

it's all kinda fuzzy...

I read this on the train into work this morning... I don't know if I was just too sleepy or just hadn't had my first cup of coffee, but I was sitting there thinking.... This could work....

Congrat Bro on a great showing!

Jeff-

He really doesn't need the positive reinforcement. Look for pictures of that very setup in the future......

I just need to work out the grease fire hazzard with all that goodness spraying down on the cookers.

maybe a drip bar over the pig instead of a shower head? Hmmmm, this has possibilities...

I'm thinking that if you use a water bowl (think ECB) with a drain hose leading out from the cooker to the drain you would catch most of the grease and still be able to keep the heat up....

Oooopppsss, sorry, I forgot I wasn't supposed to encourage you... lol

Hmmm... A drip bar might be a good way to go. Maybe instead of water pans I could rig some kinda "Flavorizer Bars" to catch and deflect the drippings directly over the coals. I can tell it's going to be a long winter. When is Salisbury again??

Don't worry about Salisbury, think about that new comp in January... Hell, it's just around the corner... LOL
