Hey all, glad to see everyone had so much fun last weekend.

Temp here in Seattle area is supposed to be in the mid to upper 70's this weekend. Saturday is busy, wedding reception. A friend of ours son married Stacie Orrico. Wouldn't go 'cept she's an international superstar singer.

Anyways, kids are beggin me to cook the babybacks I have left. 6 slabs, they said we are not inviting anyone. They've shared their ribs with enough people. Each one wanto to see if they can down a whole slab themselves. Good wit me. I'm going to try it myself.

Menu for Sunday:

6 slabs of bb's
one 5# chunk of lamb
9# brisket that I'm cutting in half oalong the fat layer to cook faster.

What's everyone else up to? I know the Bashers are probably recouping.

I am looking forward to getting back home this Friday from my Austin, TX trip to play with my new (used) Klose which I picked up right before I left for this ****ty trip. :(

On Sunday I plan to do some bb's and some chicken, possibly drunken! (the chicken and me) :o . I would like to try some wings for the fist time also. I have some reading to do on the wings subject.

I always grill the wings, I like them crispy. I saw the pictures, nice catch there. Have fun with the cleaning and seasoning. I keep my eyes open but the only thing I've found so far is my Hasty Bake grill. It works really well but it's no Klose.

Confused by the title Heath.

Last Q of the Summer?

Summer ended September 21st.

So this is your first Q of Fall!!!!

I've recouped. Last night, along with my vodka lemonades, it was a 1/2 pound bacon then a pound of ground beef. Cracked up the bacon into the beef. Added So Flav Cajun (of course), chili powder, paprika, Sloppy Joe seasoning (salt free), some Chipolte sauce, and to balance the heat, a hint of cinnamon. cover for a while, then spinkle mexican cheese on the top. We call it Cheesy beef, and the kids love it. So I am back to eating beef and pork.

Sooo,
This weekend.
2 pork loins (check the recipe section for the method, I love this stuff)
2 chickens (maybe drunken)
3 racks spares
1 7# turkey breast
Package drummies and thighs

Although I ate laast weekend, the family is on BBQ deprevation. It will be 3 weeks since last grilling and a month since last smoke.

3 empty canisters of propane.

Gotta get them refilled for the winter, and load up on charcoal, lump, wood, etc. this weekend.

My HD is completely empty. No grilling **** whatsoever. Nothing but snow blowers. Walked into Menards to pick up hickory chunks, and there were farking Christmas trees up already. I was like, FARK. So I walked up to a clerk and asked if there were any in the back. He said they got rid of it a few weeks ago. I said "In August?". Pimple face just stared at me. So I told him I'll be back in October to pick up my Easter supplies.

I'm planning some pork loin and chicken for Saturday -- gonna try out the "go-to pork loin" in the ECB.

I'm looking forward to cooking in the fall and winter -- like other sunbelt areas the winter is when we can actually stand to be outside -- other than the beach or pool :D

I'm haunting the local WalMarts and HD/Lowe's looking for end-of-season stuff!! So far, NOTHING!! I may have missed the clearance, too.

Bill- up in the northwest we only have 2 seasons: rainy and dry. And dry isn't supposed to be over till next week, and then we won't see it for 8 or 9 months.

I'm help a friend grill a case of boneless leg and thigh meat. He marinates it in a homemade Teriyaki (bastard won't give up the recipe) overnight. Then I get to be pitbitch for a day. His daughter plays soccer for Cal State Stanton and they are in town playing Cal State Dominguez. We're feeding the Men's aand Women's teams after the game.

I still have a rack of leftover spares in the freezer from last week and I bought a couple of butts on sale for $.99/# this week. Might do something Sunday after church...

Thank goodness I live in SUNNY Southern California, there is no end of summer. The weather is great for Que almost the entire year, except those four days it rains.
