View Full Version : wanted to buy 55-gal drum in St. Louis area
I need one to cut out a section and extend my "Weber on steroids" for smoking. Any leads would be appreciated.

I may be shooting blanks here, but look up Industrial Soap Co. in the phone book. However, a) I don't know if they are still in business, and b) I don't know if they sell empties to the public.
So what DO I know? While working for a retirement home in my youth (25 years ago...holy ****!), they used to bring laundry and dish detergents to us in 55 gallon steel drums. As far as used drums go, I figure you likely can't go wrong with ones used to carry soap versus toxic chemicals.
Hope that leads somewhere.

I can steal you one if you want. Got about 40 of them within 50 yards of my back door.
Park district uses them for trash cans. These are "extra"

Imagine shipping that farking thing.
It would be like Phil sending Pugh's out to people.

this guy used a Weber and barrels -- same concept you're trying.
Thanks David. I like it. But with one big door it could double as a porta-potty.
