BobBrisket has chosen Tacos for this week. I can't wait to see what the Brethren can do with this one.

Here is the simple and unchanging list of rules for the BBQ Brethren Throwdown which we follow every week!

1) The item must be either Grilled or Smoked.
2) Entries must be cooked during the current throwdown week ( 6/1 - 6/7 ).
3) All pics (any number) must be submitted by 9pm Central on 6/8.
4) Only one picture from one dish will be used for voting, so please specify which one you want used, otherwise I will choose and my decision will be final.
5) If you have any problems with any of the entries, believing them not to be qualified for any reason, please use the ***VOTE*** thread and exercise your power of voting against those entries. Any complaints posted in any Throwdown thread, or directed to me via any other means will be ignored.

The voting will begin by Tuesday 6/9 after I submit the "Vote" thread and voting will close on Sunday 6/14. All votes will be public.

Next weeks category will be decided by the winner of the Chicken throwdown, thirdeye!

Best of luck and even better eats to all!

I haven't been able to play for several weeks, let alone read and post due to work. Off this week, and last nights menu fit.

Lime zested Cod fish tacos.
Cod loins, topped with Lime Zest, margerine, thyme sprigs, S&P, and juice of 1 lime. Into a CI skillet on the primo, with toasted tortillas, and topped with homemade pico.

I guess use this one...

Grilled my tacos last night. Marinated chicken fajitas with avocado slices and homemade hot sauce. Also cooked some wings seasoned with yardbird. Cooked with (unsoaked) hickory chips. Loved it! Seasoned with Fiesta Fajita seasoning which is awesome! Seasoned myself with a 8 or 9 miller lites but hey who's counting? You can never go wrong with fajita tacos.
My helper as always
Use this one below for the throwdown

As much as I hate to admit it, I got it from Pampered Chef. I looked up the link to it (http://www.pamperedchef.com/our_products/catalog/product.jsp?productId=18602&categoryCode=NEW) and the price appears to be at least $5 more than when I bought it about 6 months ago...

Wow, this is a first for me....... I balked at the last second, and didn't follow through with my tacos. I took a ring of home made lamb sausage out of the freezer this morning before going to work and let it thaw in the fridge. When I got home I made a fire, assembled some refries and peppers, made a quick slaw and prepped an onion for grilling. I had planned on lamb tacos with onion, corn and slaw, with the refries on the side. It just looked too good as-is...... and this is as close as I made it. So although my entry is null, it sure was good.

If I get off early tomorrow, I may make a second attempt....but if I don't, best of luck to the other entries. Some of them look reeeeally good.

Same meat market I bought the chorizo at has these set ups for sale. He'll have them all sold by the end of summer. 149.00 for whole set up I believe.

Lots of good food to look at here, and mine ain't up to snuff with some of you, but I guess I ought to submit this as my entry. After all, we did have Tacos for lunch today. (The meat is the remnants of the Tenderlon I did for the kid's birthday this past Friday, thereby qualifying.)
