Hello to all here at BBQ Brethren. I'm originally from the DFW area and relocated to the Lake Texoma area a few years ago. I have a couple of inexpensive smokers, a couple of charcoal grills, a gas grill, turkey fryer, fish fryer, and a campfire pit (great for marshmallows, hot dogs and baked potatoes ). My son has a BGE and after sampling some of the wonderful grub he's cooked up I decided to treat myself to a new large BGE. My 2 older sons recommended I visit this site to get some tips and recipes.

I guess my best cook out results have been my briskets. Other than that I have mainly done burgers, steaks and chops. Now that I have my new BGE and after stumbling upon this site I see that there is a whole nuther world out there.
When I went to buy my egg, the salesperson told me that my husband would love me for buying him one. I looked at the guy and said... I'm buying it for me! Anyway, Thanks for the warm welcomes and I look forward to some new recipes and ideas.
