View Full Version : Hello from Belgium

03-19-2009, 09:09 AM
Just thought i would stop in and say hello to everyone, nad pass on a little information about myself.

I am from the Houston / Galveston area originally, but I joined the Army over 12 years ago, and have found myself in a few different places. I am currently stationed / living in Brussels Belgium, as part of the US delegation to NATO. I have deployed twice to Iraq, once to Afghanistan, and once to "some other" location.

I am married (again) and have 4 great kids 3 boys from the first, and my little princess from the my "now" wife (who really is the love of my life).

I was raised as a Cajun Redneck, and have been cooking outdoors fro as long as I can remember. I have never owned a top of the line smoker, but I hope to change that after I return back to the states.

I currently have a 3 burner CharBroil Elite gas grill, and just inherited a CharBroil Bandera style smoker. It needs a lot of work, to get it back up to speed, but hey, that is half the fun.

I also homebrew beer, and love a good cigar.

Well I guess that is enuff for now. Anyhting you want to know, jusr ask.

Welcome and thank you for your dedication to our country. I see a UDS in your future!!!!

I think when I get back to the states, I am going to build the Double Barrel smoker from the 55 gal drums. Looks like a fun build that me and My dad could do in a weekend. Start on Friday, finish up Sat, and cook on Sunday.

Just need to look into sealing the top door.

Any way, welcome to the addiction... Remember, there is no 12 step program for us!!!
