View Full Version : Plowboys a top product at KC BBQ Store
Plowboy

Stopped into the KC BBQ Store while at Oklahoma Joe's for lunch. Got to see my friend, Stephy. The first thing Dan, the store manager, told me was that Plowboy's product sales made up for over 1% of their total store sales in 2008 and is one of the top 10 selling rub product lines in the store. They only started selling our Bovine Bold in October, so much of that was from Yardbird.
Plowboys sales don't rival famous brands like Cowtown, Slabs, Smokin Guns, Butt Rub, or Obie-Q. However, It makes me very proud that many of you have supported us and enjoy our products.
Thank you all! :eusa_clap

Todd, while I was in there last Friday, someone called and was asking if they carried a 5# container of Yardbird. Might consider that.

We'd take 5# of Bovine. Does a Brethren price exist?

I know he is waiting until spring to add rubs, but at least get the ball rolling. I hope to see some rubs here local I can just walk in and buy. All he has is Buttrub right now that I seen.

I use the yardbird on everything but brisket. I've been using heffer dust from brother Spice but am anxious to try the Bovine Bold. I tasted some that Andy had in Hot Springs, but I haven't had a chance to cook with it yet.

"Yardbird" ?
Is that kinda like the stuff that has raised our scores a bunch since we started using it??
Ours comes from the same place.
Just kidding Todd--Great Stuff!

I like the Yardbird and the Bovine Bold. Last night I used the Bovine bold on some big thick strip steaks. That stuff ROCKS!
Easy to see how the title of this thread came to be.:eusa_clap
