Somehow in the back of my head I thought we had forever until our first comp in spring. Then I started counting and realized it's only 11 weeks off! Suddenly that doesn't seem like nearly enough time to practice all the changes we've been considering.

When does the rest of the world start up again?

We're buried here in Cleveland as well. Our first contest will be Smoke On The Water, March 13-14th in Little Rock, that is if we can get there through the all the snow.

12 weeks....

It looks like it could be a VERY busy year....

The original schedule had 20 comps on it.... over 14,000 miles. We are having a cook's meeting next Sunday afternoon and will probably trim it a tad...

That would be great to see you guys there but that's a lot of travel over a 2 week period unless you stay down south over that period. Wish I had the vacation time or I'd definitely add Hammond to my list as well.

We have to decide how far we want to drive this year If we extend our range to 6 hours then our first will be early May. If not then it will be Memorial Day weekend. It also depends on how many comps we decide to do total since I have a limited supply of vacation days

Down here in sunny Florida the FBA has already had their first scheduled comp of 2009. It was held at Sebring on Jan 10. Great event.

The prior comp (last year) was at Perry on Dec 13. Looks like less than 3 weeks from last year to this year. Oh yeh, I forgot, down here in sunny FL we Q all year round. :-P

First event will either be Jeff City or Wahsington Mo in April. I am trying to talk my partner into the Arksas one in March. My wife would like to see the presidential library there (she is a history teacher). I wander if I could ask her to do a Monica. Na - I she hits way too hard for me to risk it.

Next year I have to do a better job of having my RV winter in Florida. It would make it a lot easier for me! No Lakeland this year for me. I'm not part of this all-star Hawgeyes Nation team either. I didn't make the cut... lol

Good luck bud.
