Polar Swine IV is here for 2009:
A Contest. A Party. A test of your resolve.

Some initial info:
Location: Melvern Lake/Eisenhower state park (KS)
Size: Limited to 25 teams
Entry fee: $100
Prizes: Win or go home.


$$ for 1st place in each category and Grand Champ.

Meathead award

You will have some great competition.... At the 2008 event 5 of the top 30 2008 Overall TOY teams in KCBS were in attendance.

Food is presented to the judges - no blind judging.
3 categories -Brisket, Ribs, Sausage
No Garnish
Any pit type is allowed - only restriction is open/ground pits.
(including gas, electric, and forced draft)
Not a KCBS sanctioned event.

Update - For those planning on attending - please confirm by 1/24. I like to get the attending team's names on the shirts.

Locking that in on the 24th, will allow shirts to be ready by the 6th!

Are the cook sites on pavement or dirt?

Do most folks stay Saturday night or go home after judging?
