Name is Jim and I am trilled to finally be here.
I'm the proud owner of a brand new NB Bandera. It was a Christmas present to myself. :-D
I know it's not the old style but I hope it still gives me years of enjoyment without too many problems.
I spend today rounding up the material to do the necessary mods that I have learned from this site.
Fire grate and baffle to begin with.

I am new to the meat smoking world but have been smoking veggies on a Masterbuilt 7 in 1 for a while.
As crazy as that sounds, I make an awesome Mesquite Smoked Salsa that has everybody addicted.
I set out to find a larger capacity smoker to make larger quantities of Salsa to keep up with the demand.
I needed something that I could smoke at a low temperature and that's how I decided on the Bandera.

So now I have a lot to learn about all the possibilities my new baby is capable of and I'm pretty sure I found the right place.

Welcome Jim...

If yours is a real New Braunfels, then its about as old style as u can get. The one before that was the Oklahoma Joes and it would be a miracle to find one of them new in a store.

It's the one by Char-Broil model #08201345 from Academy.
