Count me out on this one. The daughter has to give up the crown of Miss Edwardsburg that day. Duty calls. Bruce, I hope you and your friend Jack keep warm that day. http://www.blossomtimefestival.org/pages/2008-contestants/edwardsburg.php

Wish I would have seen this earlier. Sounds like a fun day cooking chili and having a few beers. Fenton is about an hour away but it would have been no problem getting there to participate. I used to drive by the Beale Street Smokehouse two or three times a week so I know where that's at.

EatonHogg,
If you dont have to time to enter the contest, come on up and hang out for awhile. THats what some of the others are doing. Entry numbers are not that great leaving the odds really good for someone to win the $200, $75, and $25.

Well we might make it Saturday. Although I would really like to cook in the chili cook-off, I'll have to pass on this one due to lack of preparation time. I talked to a guy I work with that lives in Linden. He said that the Jinglefest was a good time and would be well worth the drive. I gotta check out that Beale Street Smokehouse too.
Any current numbers on how many are signed up to cook?
(I'm really kicking myself for passing up this event)

Do all the prep on site John, all ya need is a tent and a turkey fryer of hot plate. Only need to make a small amount of chili!
Waiting to hear how many are entered.
Look forward to seeing ya, I'll be at the vending booth!

The weather was not our friend but for being a first year event and the weather conditions as they were, I think the contest was a success. It just hurt that the pedestrian traffic was down which hurt the vending.
Thanks again to our fellow brethren and association members who helped make this work.
I spoke with the main event organizer again yesteday who said that the festival committee is still talking about making the cookoff base for next years festival.

Hows come I don't see my picture, oh, I must have been outside in the freezing, blowing, snow.
