scores and pins

say I just can't find the info on this, but how are things scored?

what does like 777, 787, 898, 767, ect. mean?

and what is the pins people talk about? something about perfect score?

That is the exact scores that the judges gave you

Judge 1 gave you a 7 for appearance, 7 for taste and 7 for tenderness
Judge 2 gave 7 for appearance, 8 for taste and 7 for tenderness
Judge 3 you get it.......

If you get all 999's from each judge it is a perfect score it would total 180 on the scoresheet....... and you get a gold star pin for that if it is in one of the 4 KCBS categories, if it is in ancillary then you get a silver round pin
