Hello everyone, I am a proud owner of a Weber Smoky Mountain, a DigiQ II automated temp control, and also have a Weber kettle (cabin), Weber GoAnywhere Charcoal and a GoAnywhere propane version too.

I live in Vancouver, BC - and enjoy the pacific north west. I am in software/IT and am 36 years old.

I hunt, (deer, moose, elk), fish (halibut, salmon, trout up here and occasionally go for some marlin, wahu etc down south in the baja california) and I also enjoy Nascar, Offroad racing, travel, downhill skiing, NFL, and do a lot of cooking. I have a pretty wide range of interests and enjoy meeting people.

I look forward to being part of the community.

Thanks in advance,

Cameron

Welcome Cameron. I look forward to seeing that WSM full of meat. By the way, when you say you have a Weber kettle (cabin), do you mean that you have the kettle out at a cabin?

Enjoy the forum.

Yes - I keep it up at the cabin. It handles the grilling side of things - while my WSM takes care of everything else. The WSM is easy to transport thankfully. I will probably buy a second WSM for the cabin if I can find at a good sale price over the winter months.

And a WSM full of meat is one of my favorite sights, thank you for the welcome - everyone.

Welcome aboard Cameron! Glad to have another hunter on board.

Thanks!

I cherish my yearly outings with my dad and one of my brothers - and a group of up to 10 family/friends usually are up for the hunting camp.

I am now deciding which gun to bring this year for moose, got a few new rifles this summer. :)

I usually bring my Winchester 338 and a .308 along for the trip.

PS, Funny story - at age 8 I shot the .338 for the first time and immediately dropped it breaking the stock - I then had to empty my piggy bank and buy my dad a new stock. It now has a composite stock ;)
