The first production run of our new rub is happening Tuesday. The first run is limited to 50 lbs. It is a test run to get container weights and nutritional information. I should have about 50 small shakers (approximately 8 oz) and 25 large shakers.
There has been a lot of folks wanting to get their hands on this and some who have used batches that I was making myself as I perfected it. I'm going to offer up 20 of the large shakers and all of the small shakers for sale here for BBQ Brethren first. The final labels and first 500 pound production run will be ready for the American Royal. Here's your chance to get some before it hits the stores and the Royal.
Small Shakers $4
Large Shakers $7
Add a large Shaker of Yardbird for $6 (normally $7)
Send me a PM with your order, address and phone number. I'll reserve product for you and send it out once I pick it up middle of the week.
Thanks everyone for your support of our products. It means more than you know.

Not for this. I won't have product for retailers until the end of September. This is a pre-launch special preview for Brethren.

Thanks, everyone!!! Picking up product in the morning and putting together orders tomorrow night. Large shakers are more than spoken for, so I'm substituting two smalls for a large. Might have enough for about 2-3 more orders.

Just finished putting about half of the orders together for FedEx drop tomorrow. I'm processing in the order they came in. Gotta pick up more boxes tomorrow and will get the rest out the door on Friday morning.
PM's will start going out tomorrow for totals and payment instructions. I'm just too damned tired to do it now.
Kevin - Sending you a PM tonight. The costs for shipping to BGE Minnestoa were more than I would have thought. Want to make sure you are okay before I ship.

Got mine last week. Please don't beat me up too bad for this, but I haven't had time to que lately so I used it on a sirloin tip roast cooked in the oven. I liked the flavor a lot. I will do a brisket next weekend, I promise.

You aren't alone. I'm still working on orders. The catering this weekend slowed me down. Should have all remaining order out first of this week.

I used the Bovine Bold at my last two competitions on Brisket and came in 4/72 and 3/30. Works very well with A1!

I hear it has MSG and powdered A1 in it.

I'm telling you...I really want to try these rubs but everybody wants an arm and a leg to ship them. $10 to $15 dollars for shipping seems steep. Rub is priced ok, but the shipping, my goodness! I may have to drive 25 miles to get me some.
Im not saying I'm just saying.

Thanks Bubba. Like I said, I really want to try Todd's rubs. I wanted to purchase the combo pack and the shipping was 2/3 the cost of the rub, I believe. That my friend is confiscatory. Maybe after giving them a try I would buy 10lbs.
I'm not saying I'm just saying.

Trust me it's worth it! I don't have two red cent to rub together but have it shipped across the ocean anyway.
Juat sayin. :cool:

Here's my thoughts on the Bovine Bold:
I don't compete;
I don't cater;
I don't vend.
I buy it in the 5 pound bags :biggrin:. I use a lot of it just cooking for the family :-D.

Well, I drove 35 miles round trip today to get some of Todd's goods. Picked up some Yardbird and Bovine Bold. I tasted them and must say they are very distinctive in there own way. Never quite tasted anything quite like them. Pleasant, with a finishing heat. With out having used them in a cook yet, I would say that the YB is the most interesting.
There are some spice compounds in these that are very interesting. :-D
Sure seemed as if the Plowboys rubs received a majority of calls at the Sun City Pulte Az contest this weekend. Kept asking what the cooks what they used, and no one would talk. But I saw more bottles of Plowboys than anything else.

Giving a free shaker of rub to each team doesn't hurt. :lol:

I've still got my first shaker of Bovine Bold that sits beside my first shaker of Yardbird. They look kind of nekkid. Still waiting on the labels.:biggrin: Just messin' with ya Todd.

Man, I used it on my first brisket and I was amazed at the smoke ring and flavor profile..I am new to cooking brisket but have eaten my fair share and all I can say is wow. I'll still play with my own rub, but this is going to be my "go to" brisket rub based on the results I got on this piece of meat.
