been lurking,decided to join.always been a bbq lover,just havent found a smoker to hold up after a couple years,I love the Backwoods smokers,and the Kamado.not sure which i want?any suggestions,what about the Imperial Kamado? what would a used one go for?thanks everyone

There are several on here who know a lot about the kamados. My impression is that they are somewhat limited and aren't good for high temp grilling like the ceramics are, but I am sure they will chime in and give you some help.

Welocme. I would recommend going with Big Green Egg if you're leaning towards the ceramic pot style smokers. Reason being, the Big Green Egg as a company has so much to offer. More support, more accessories, if you buy new - a better warranty. I've never heard from anyone (at least on this forum) who regretted buying an Egg.
