Not sure how important this milestone actually is but thought I'd pass along to those who have not seen it. According to the KCBS homepage there are 7800+ CBJ's.

I thought the last paragraph was a bit lacking or telling depending how you look at it for a media release talking about the growth in membership.
In America (yes, the organization has international members), the annual membership fee is only $35 for an individual and $50 for a family. Members get voting rights, board access, recipe assistance, a monthly newsletter on all things BBQ, as well as discounts on barbeque classes and hotel fees.
