Got a call from the guy last night. We get the same spot as last year, under the oak tree (shade against the sun) Suppose to be sunny and 92 both days, but irrad8 will probably screw that up!

Thinking of hosting the 9:30 shot - who is in? You know - you got to be in to win!

Yeah we saw them on Saturday - Brian and I actually did our first vending on Saturday at a local liquor and smoke shop. They were over there picking up some celebration cigars.

I'm planning on being there. I guess I'll be flying solo, and am trying to recruit some help to run boxes. The wifes Dad decided to come in for the weekend, so she has to stay home and play host. We'll see how it plays out.

I was there last year. The weather could not have been better! Couldn't believe it was July. Good luck to all the Brethren, hope some of you still make it to Boone county.

Hey Jamie - my wife is going to come up, if you sweet talk her enough and sell me a bottle of crown. I am sure she would run your boxes for you.

Congrats everyone!

Jamey, that 177+ in ribs must have looked very nice on the score sheet! Of course, your 176 and Great grills 176 probably looked pretty good, too

I was very happy with both those scores. I got an 8 in taste from 1 judge to miss a 180.
My brisket took me down. I scored a 150 to knock me out of a shot at 1st place.
All in all this is a great contest. I was set up between Skip, Denise & Slammin' Sammy of "Chick & Pig", and "The Slabs". I guarantee you won't go hungry on Friday night around these 2 groups. Thanks to you both for all the hospitality.
Skip, your banana and power drink were a life saver.
