I’m building a table for 2 Kamados. A large round and a large oval Kamado. The top is 8 feet long and stainless steel. I’m using another 8 foot table top to finish the front of the table. It will have drawers in the center and a cabinet (access) door in front of each Kamado. The sides will also be stainless and the back will be stainless and heavy screen. The bottom of the table will not go all the way to the ground, so it will have air. Both Kamados will be setting on their feet on a metal shelf inside the table. My question is about the air intake. Has anyone ever built a table around a Kamado and is it going to be a problem to have a door shut in front of the Kamados while cooking? Any input would be appreciated.

I've never done this, but be sure enough air can get through the bottom vent. That may be an issue as much as you are closing it up. Just my .02 worth.

Leave plenty of area for ash cleanout. Those things are heavy, make sure bottom shelf is solid.
