This was the first weekend I have had the chance to fire up my new smoker. I ended up throwing a brisket into the mix and here are some pics...this took quite awhile, about 10 hours. I am still learning the ins & outs of the smoker. I used a McCormick beef rub that can be bought anywhere. Nothing special...the only thing special about it is this was my first attempt at a brisket...

I have only tried brisket once, and it was OK...need to figure out how to keep it moist. Better try this weekend!! LOL

That is a very good looking brisket, and it was your first try? My 1st brisket was so dry and tough, the dog did not like it.
Congrats on your cook.
