View Full Version : Insurance Project pls help
I am working on a project to find preferred insurance rates for competition teams who vend or do peoples choice and are required to have liability insurance to compete at contest.
I am trying to establish kcbs cooks for preferred rates. I need to know who you have insurance with, the rate and if they charge for insurance certificates to contest.
Please e-mail me at mwhitebook at kcbs.us
Thank you.

Here is a listing of providers that offer coverage for "contests". It would be a good starting point. You can search based on other key words if you like.

here is the results for "food bourne illness":

If there was something KCBS could do for the membership it might be to provide coverage as you describe. But with the amount of alcohol @ many contests it might be difficult to obtain some coverages.
(not that that has anything to do with anything but just as an underwriting concern)
Last year there were some contest which required insurance. Is there a need for low cost insurance or is this an incidental, which is rarely need and not maintained.
Is there a need?

Several of us in the KC area go through an agent in Grain Valley, MO. http://combined-ins.com/default.aspx
I think my year of coverage was $279, which included my commercial products, trailer liability, and liability for the property it sits on.
