...will be held on the 24. and 25th May 2008 in Monheim (http://www.monheim.de), about 15 miles from Cologne in the heart of germany.

I am there in spirit thou. My Mon did a booklet on our family in 2005 she was back to 1655, 13 generations starting in Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany. Which was northwest of Kaiserslautren. In 1833 they lived in Schwedelbachin. My Mom visited with our relatives that still live there in 2001 and the house they live in is 300 years old. in Schwedelbach.Others live in Kaiserlautern. Our immigrant ancestor was born 1833 and baptized at Heil-Kruez(holy cross) Chruch in Weilerbach that Mom visited in 2001.

Amsazing here houses fall over by the time they are 50.

If it's anything like your bash you posted awhile back it should be really cool. I was in and around Germany back in 1991 for 3 weeks. I loved it! I was at munich for octoberfest, now thats a party! Who is promoting the contest, how many teams do they expect?

Who is promoting the contest, how many teams do they expect?

Its promoted by the german bbq assosiation and the WBQA.
This year there were 30 Teams attending and about 40.000 Guests, but next year its right in the middle of Europes largest people density, 18 million people live within a 60 Mile radius. So, this one is gonna get huge.
