Thanks to a last minute push the Nelsonville, OH Contest will survive. As of now there are over 16 teams. Still a few more applications to process. With any luck and last minute drive ups we may make the 25 teams necessary to be a qualifier.

Hope to see many of you there.

Thank you for your support!

I had a lot of help thanks to Rolling Smoke, Jim Ferguson!

Please look us up on Saturday, and if there's anyway we can help you compete, please let us know!

I've got lots of extra cookers!:-D

Wish I could be there but Libertyville is just about 200 miles closer for me and it saves a vacation day. Now if they could reschedule it for say August sometime it would be perfect in my schedule as I really don't have anything close right now.

I always enjoyed cooking Nelsonville even if some bad things happened on the way there a few times.

Maybe it is closer but do they have Santa Claus in Libertyville?

Smokin Santa retired from my team after that contest and sometimes cooks Grand Rapids but that's it. I think he may still have a headache from that year.

I'll never forget that. That was one of the most surreal moments I can ever recall from such a drunken state of mind.

We'll miss you but hopefully we'll get to meet there next year. Either way mark your calendar for Jul 18&19 and do Dayton with us next year.

Good luck in Libertyville.

Wish you could be there Ford. A rescheduling of dates for next years contest will be something that will be definitely looked at. Good luck at Libertyville!

Just an FYI

I just got off of the phone with The Inn at Hocking College and they said that they had a group cancel out and had 5 or so rooms available for Friday and Sat night.

Just thought I would pass that along.

Anyone know if they need judges now?

I heard they're good with judges!

Yep, that's what I heard as well. Seems the class they had back in the spring gave them an abundance of judges.

Rolling Smoke

I thought it would be close based on what the organizer told me last Friday but Shig Numero Uno called last night and said they were only expecting 16. Either way, I'll go cook and hangout with Old Dave for the weekend just to get primed for next weekend.:-D

See you next Thursday Scottie!

I may come over on Saturday... depends on how early I get up. I have a party to get ready for next weekend, but I'd just as soon come by to get free food, I mean test your bbq for you...
