Garden City, NY – October 3, 2007 – Taste, an 80-seat American bistro located in the heart of historic Garden City, introduces its new Sunday brunch menu, offering a Southern twist on classic American cuisine.

The menu, created by Chef Ed Witt, starts with a variety of small Tastes, from biscuits and gravy with house-made breakfast sausage, to baby iceberg lettuce with blue cheese and bacon. A full raw bar is also offered, featuring a variety of oysters, littleneck clams and jumbo shrimp cocktail.

Brunch continues with a selection of Large Tastes, including a shrimp omelet with tomato and goat cheese; chicken fried steak with cheese grits, sunny side egg and white gravy; Taste benedict served on a biscuit with American prosciutto, cheddar and chipotle béarnaise; chocolate French toast with maple whipped cream and caramel bananas; and pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato wedges.

Completing the brunch offerings is a selection of Sweet Tastes, including Knob Creek bread pudding with lemon ice cream; the daily fruit cobbler; sweet potato pie with dried cherry ice cream; and an old fashioned root beer float; among others.
