Chili was all I could come up with for the left over brisket and I can’t wait till supper tomorrow to dig in. I been holding on to this recipe her for the chicken livers for years now and in honor of the originator (Woodoggies) I fixed these on the small BGE and they turned out awesome to say the least. Don’t know how they got such a weird name but they definitely work for me (he calls em Rumaki – whatever that means?). I love chicken livers and have em every once in a while at the meat and three that really knows how to fry em real good and danged if I don’t thing these babies beat the fired by a long shot.

Not only no, but hell no!!!
Short story even shorter. The first time my mother served me liver, I went looking for my beagle. I was sure she cooked it and was feeding it to me.

It is indeed one of those morsels that falls into the category of "Acquired Taste".
Had em sometimes, liked em every now and then, not a staple on the menu.
However, am now intrigued to try and smoke some, just to see how they come out.

Liver in any fashion will never touch my grill. Too much crap is filtered by the liver for my taste.
Good luck with those, though.

Hey, guys - it's just protein, right?
My family bought liver, tongue, heart - all kinds of cuts that most folks didn't want because they were considered 'scrap' meat and it was what we could afford. These scraps, thank goodness, were also what my mama taught me to cook. They also included brisket, ribs, feet and other delicacies.
Parts is parts.
Just to think . . . I was simmering ribs and brisket until just a year ago or so, but thanks to you all, my mom declared that my smoked ribs are the best she's ever had. Just think - ribs! Ew! Yuck! Same thing applies to any other parts . . .
It's all in your head! (as the Gorillaz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorillaz) whisper)

(he calls em Rumaki – whatever that means?)
Rumaki is an hors d'oeuvre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hors_d%27oeuvre) of Hawaiian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuisine_of_Hawaii) origin. Its ingredients and method of preparation vary, but usually it consists of water chestnuts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_chestnuts) and pieces of chicken (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken) liver (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liver) wrapped in bacon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacon) and marinated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marinated) in soy sauce (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soy_sauce) and either ginger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginger) or brown sugar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_sugar).

I love chicken livers. Umm good. I even like cow liver sliced pretty thin, battered and fried. I like to it in a little bit of mayo. I think I may have liver tomorrow for dinner. The g/f just came in and read this and said I cann't make liver until she isn't here.

My wife won't let me make beans when she's home.
Welcome to married life. Or in your case, a life with a mate.

I saw an episode of Barbecue University and Raichlen was doing Rumaki, said they used to be a really popular appetizer then just disappeard from the scene. I'm also not a liver eater, but they do look mighty tasty. Nice job GD!
