Now you need a Lawn Ranger handle with "Ichiro" on it.

I wish mine had wings to fly. You'll be thanking yourself for the wings every time you cook. I've seen some with plastic chopping boards on them, so maybe you can make one side a chopping board. Your first egg mod.

Welcome to the asylum, Ichiro! :-D

You may want to have a talk with the guy who brought you home... Papa Murphy's pizza for your first meal? You deserve real meat.

It looks right at home.

We did one of those take and bake pies earlier this week. I really like the chicken/garlic/canadian bacon one with the white sauce.

Does it also hit over .350, score over 100 runs, and play a mean centerfield?

Papa Murphy's Vegetarian

http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x206/johnrhana/016.jpg

Not too bad...a little runny...too many veggies.

http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x206/johnrhana/023.jpg

Pepperoni...

http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x206/johnrhana/037.jpg

I do not recommend these...they gave an off aroma and taste to the first pizza...IMO. The second pizza tasted fine. Time to invest in a blow torch:biggrin:

http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x206/johnrhana/029.jpg

All in all not a bad first meal. The veggie pizza was a little runny but the crust was good. The pepperoni was very good...great crust...good smoky "Wood Fired" taste:biggrin:

It cruises at 350* effortlessly!

Looks great JD. I was gonna ask you about the green thing on top in the first pic. You've replaced it with the iron cap that Im seeing on new ones now-a-days.

The "green thing" is the damper. I put it on when I shut it down. The cast iron thing is the air flow adjustment. FYI

Sooo...talk to me Brother...what do friends recommend for other friends instead of Cuervo? And...what's wrong with Cuervo? It's cheap....it's Te-Kill-Ya...and ya really can't taste it much in a Margarita...IMO

Get an electric lighter. You can get one for $12-15 and it will last a very long time if you don't leave it outside in the rain. Other than that, I use paraffin & sawdust cubes.

Try this and you might change your mind. Get a decent bottle of silver 100% agave tequila like herradura... Lots of ice and 1/2 tequila, 1/2 Newmans Own Limeaide. Shake and serve.

Cool...I'll check it out. Can I afford this stuff? We usually don't use the mix in our Margaritas...we had friends over for the weekend and kept it simple. Our normal recipe is just fresh squeezed lime juice, triple sec, and tequila...on the rocks...never blended!:-P

WELCOME, ICHIRO! That's a very nice looking cooker - a space saver, too.

As much as I'd like to try it, I don't think I can't fit a pizza in my pit :(

Hi Rick..."Ichiro" is all that I had hoped for and more! The first pies were Papa Murphy's and turned out ok. I can't wait to be doing my own recipes as soon as we break him in a bit more. Welcome back!
