Sweet deal. You did a nice job. Thanks again Ty. BTW in the last month I have found a truck on CL and after my son locked up the engine on the truck, last night I posted looking for a ford engine and a guy called me this afternoon to come pick up a running ford truck....get this.... FREE! wife just wants it out of the back yard.

Gotta love CL........

You can start a new TV Show, Flip My Pit. You could easily double your money on that thing.

I restored the SmokeMaster's twin a couple of years ago with my oldest Kiddo north of Dallas area. Story is here somewhere, but pictures did not survive the software upgrade.

Good and serviceable cooker, for sure.
It does need a good baffle on the hot side of the horizontal, though.

Hope you enjoy it!
Good looking job there.

Very nice John,
I have the 'younger brother' of the same pit, no vertical box.
Here is the pic before I touched it up with a bit of the high heat.
(pay no attention to the 'lil charcoal grill on the left)
Smokemasters are great pits in my opinion.
Good luck with yours.

Steve's had no baffle, just a huge hole for heat to blast the right side like a blowtorch. Probably an older model.

No pics of baffle. I just folded HD foil many times and it worked "OK".

Nice pit though.

No blowtorch hole here........not that there's anything wrong with that:mrgreen:
