My team will be going to the Cameron contest on the 29th. Should be a good time is any one else making the trip?

What's your team?

Big Creek BBQ will be going and trying to improve on a 4th place overall finish there last year. I'm interested to see how the new venue will change the contest.

My team is called Butts A Fire. We haven't been to this contest before but it looks like it should be pretty nice on the square downtown.

Munchin Hogs at the hilton - Grand
All American BBQ - Reserve (another Spicewine owner)

41 teams

We did pretty fair... 10th in chicken and 3rd in pork. 16th overall was disappointing because our ribs (27th?) and brisket (23rd?) dragged us way down.

I'll leave other Brethren who walked to post their results or all results.
I'd post more results, Kim, if I wasn't so tired that I'm nodding off as I type.

How many GC's is that for Munchin Hogs this year? Is it up to 3-4 already?

Nice job on the chicken and especially the pork!! 3rd is a great call in that crowd.

Tim, Bachelor Weekend was Andy's team with his neighbor and their friends so you can count that one as well.

1) We need to get that All American team on the Brethren. He's a Spicewine owner for gawd's sake! They did well at Sugar Creek, MO, too.

2) What did the top 10 overall look like?

3) Munchin Hogs only got one call and pulled a Grand? Holy Crap!!! All American had three calls... must have tanked in chicken.

4) How drunk was Rob McGee. He usually does well when completely toasted.

Butts a Fire Didn't do quite as good as the rest of the Brethren Our high mark was 13th in pork and 32nd over all. I really Farked up the chicken this time trying something new that didn't taste that great. Great Job all of you that participated.

With all the different teams Andy cooks under (HoDeDos, Smoke on Wheels, HoDeSparkleHeads, Bachelor Weekend BBQ) you can tell that he really doesn't care about the overall points. I figure I will look at all the different team's points and add them up at the end of the year.

We are cooking as Smoke on Wheels at Warrensburg. My sponsor is giving us some $$, so I figured I'd better keep it recognizable. Had they not come through with the cash... Jeff and I had a few names in mind.

Jeff has a sponsor too - so this one will be lighter on the pocketbook, thank goodness!!!

I think we should cook as DUI BBQ. But hey, we're using your tree poop smokers so I'm good with Smoke on Wheels. Just so you know... If I have to wear Crocs to be on SoW, count me out!

It was great to meet all of you farkers this weekend in Cameron:-D . I can't even tell you how it feels to walk through a comp & have folks come up to me & introduce themselves just because I'm wearing a Brethren shirt:biggrin: . My SIL still couldn't get over it Sunday afternoon---he thinks its unreal----but I told him that that is what the Brethren are all about:!: :-D :-D . I had to show up Friday evening because I was judging on Saturday & there ain't no "fraternization" allowed on comp day 'till after the judging. Andy, Jeff, Jeff, Pat & a few others that I can't remember (beer mod), it was a blast meeting y'all. Hope to see ya down the road! Next stop---Ducks Unlimited @ Ankeny, Iowa; July 13 & 14; gonna be cooking with/washing dishes for "Q'n 4 Fun" BBQ team.
