Coal basket

I've seen some people make coal baskets on here but I don't have the tools needed to make one. Where can I pick something up or order one that I can have my mits on in two weeks? It's for a Oklahoma Joe offset. I'm doing my next comp Iron man and would like to get at least a 3-4 hour burn.

you really dont need any tools, expanded sheet metal, a couple of boards and some baling wire.

i made mine for my drum with a 13 in grate, bent the expanded metal around a parking lot post and tied it together with the baling wire. it has worked perfectly for many a good cook.

Be careful how handle the expanded metal or you will cut the fark out of your hands - Especially if you are using "improvised" methods to bend the metal.

Not that I did that when I cobbled together a quick charcoal basket:wink:
