We requested lot 9 but got lot 5. We are in 553 - DIRECTLY across from Team Q (Unless they change the map (which I heard is in the works). Oh, and Early Bird BBQ is right next to Team Q - they will have their Margarita Machine there as well!!

Looks like the forecast will be mostly cloudy the whole contest!!

DEAN, OMG!! You farkin idiot!!!!!

Just kidding, I am the son of a master electrician, I was journeyman when I was 17. I too had the same question. After talking to the MASTER, We assume it is for the RV hookups! I will have more later.

DEAN, OMG!! You farkin idiot!!!!!

I know, I was expecting that. I figured it had something to do with an RV, but I didn't know if I needed 30 to 15 or what. Blowing up the FE because I am stupid would make for a horrible weekend.

A 30 amp plug-in is not the same shape as a 120. It uses three wide flat prongs. The usually 120/15amp won't fit in it. So...for a few bucks, stop at the rv or marine store and buy a 30 amp adapter. it converts the standard 120/15amp to a 30 amp plug.

I have an RV. Scott

Yakfishingfool
04-30-2007, 08:01 PM
and to get fancy, buy the one with the 90 degree bend in it so the cover of the power unit will close correctly. Scott

Try the RV section of Walmart or an RV dealership. I'm sure Nationwide RV in Grain Valley would have them.

Ok Kidding, The 30 amp is a 3 prong RV type adaptor, if you have that, there are "dog bone" adaptors you can use to dummy that down to whatever they give you. I have a few of the dog bones.... so if you need one, and you werent able to track one down, come by and see if one of mine will work for you.

Word, count me as a 90% go as of today. I'll give you the 100% for sure tomorrow. The only thing that might come up is an invite to the lake this weekend, and I'm not planning on it. Plus the weather isn't forcasted to be great which even makes the chance of me going to the lake even less if I were to be invited.

Just let me know what booth number and what time you want me there. Do you put together your trays (adding the basic layer of garnish) in the morning of turn in or the night before? If you do them in the morning, I'd like to be present for that. Send me a private message or email with your contact info and I'll give you a buzz.

The way I look at it is everyday is a 50-50% chance of rain, either it will, or it won't! Vern and I are heading out Friday morning 10 ish. Steve is joining us Friday night. If anyone needs anything, drop a line! 816-813-8801. I think I still have a couple wristbands $5 each, just kidding! I am giving one to Todd's "gimpy" runner!

As for the "drunk percentage" I would raise that to 90% after the week I have had! In other words, sober 10% of the time!

Only gimpy if I need to actually run. FYI, if you haven't broken an ankle - don't. I picked up BBQ cause I pretty much had to give up athletics, you know, beer league softball and it even cut into my golf last year.

Well, Doorbusters just finished loading up! All I can say is Vern, YOU "DA MAN! The short bus "with Chiefs theme" kicks ass. We finished up installing the flat screen TV tonight, and Vern had already completed the new stereo. All I can say is I am pumped! This is my favorite weekend of the year. Friends, beer, meat, beer, music, beer, chicks in skimpy, (possibly wet) clothes, beer, and GREAT friends!

Game On brethren! Lets have some fun!

p.s. For those of you who know Vern, he did have to leave rather abruptly tonight!

At the AR last year the generator was right next to us..Just deal with it and go on...At least you are right next to the power...We used it as an empty beer can holder...Yes it is loud but hey what can you do...Perfect thing to do is if you got your own jonny on the spot put it right next to that to block the noise...It wont work as well as what you expect but it will help...a little....I dont think that I would be too worried about the generator noise then I would the parties going on........:-P

Pretty piss poor planning by them if you ask me. Why place the damned thing right in the middle of the aisle with teams all around? Run some damned cable and quit trying to get off so cheap for crissakes! Wouldn't bother me so much if I had REQUESTED this lot. They didn't put us anywhere remotely near where we requested. That may change come Friday afternoon...

Guess what we didnt get where we requested...we had the perfect spot last year and they did away with that single spot by making all those double spots...oh well....go with the flow...it is going to become as big as the american royal so you get the hand that you are given....i dont think that the spot has anyting to do with the way any team cooks so who cares....you might have to walk a little bit further but who doesnt need the exercise:-P

I talked to Jay, Bob, Wayne, Baggs, and Becky on the phone about 4PM, (they passed me around like a cheap hooker) and they were well into party mode. Wish we could be there but my boss called an 8AM Saturday meeting, I'm sure he did it just to mess up everyone's weekend plans...so we'll just stay home and play with the new smoker.

Best of luck to everyone! I've got a very good feeling that there will be some Brethren walking this weekend!
